TARTU STUDENT DAY 1: KICK-OFF (MONDAY, APRIL 25) — BOJANA (CROATIA)

Tomorrow is the first day of long-awaited Student Days in Tartu. Let’s throw a glance at the tomorrow’s events. Be sure to grab a pen and jot down the events.

Here is what I certainly recommend tomorrow.

07:15 – Wake-up call

It’s the kickoff of Student Days. Those of you living in dormitories, prepare yourself for a morning exercise and working out to songs from blues to rock’n’ roll. Judging by our last year experience, I can assure you it will be fun! More info here.

08:00-12:00 – Pancakes morning

After working out, something sweet to sink your teeth into! Monday is certainly not our favourite day of the week, so why not start it with something extremely delicious? It is free of charge! See you at Town Hall Square.

15:00 – Bookselling

For our bookworms, here’s something interesting. It takes place at Estonian Literary Museum. You cannot even imagine how many interesting books are there to be bought and read! Especially for those who are (almost) fluent in Estonian, I would certainly recommend paying a visit. There is still time to register, see info here.

18:00 – Excursion of Rüütli street

You have probably been here so many times, either passing by or exploring the interior of various bars and cafés, but have you ever wondered what is the historical background of the most famous street in Tartu? 18:00 sharp, be there and join the excursion!

18:45 – BFM short films program

Those who are not so into history can switch to the more visual type of experience. Baltic Film and Media school students are showing six short films at Tartu Elektriteater.

20:00-21:00 – The Opening Parade

This is a “must”! Free your schedule and join thousands of people at Town Hall Square. This is the right place to feel the spirit of Student Days. Let’s walk all together.

21:00 – The Night Song Festival

The highlight of the evening! I won’t say much, you have to come and feel it. You can either walk with thousands of people from Town Hall Square to Tartu song festival ground or you can join us there. Let’s welcome the spring with music spirit!
