HOW TO CHANGE YOUR STUDY ROUTINE IN WINTER. MY TOP FIVE OF CAFÉS IN TARTU – Camila (COLOMBIA)

The weather has once again changed quickly. The days have become shorter, Autumn lasted only a few weeks and its colors have already disappeared. I opened my window one morning and found that everything was covered by snow. I went for a walk and noticed that the Emajogi River was frozen. I cannot hide that I find the winter fascinating, but at the same time, it is something unknown to me, because this is the first time that I have lived in a country which experiences Winter.
Due to the fact that I am studying an intensive Master Program, I have a significant amount of assignments, essays, reports, test, and exams to complete. Fittingly, I spend a lot of time studying at home or in the library, and sometimes the weather makes want to just stay at home. A friend recommended that I change my routine and, instead of studying at home, study at a cafe. I was hesitant at first but then decided to start visiting cafes in the city just to change my routine a little.
One of the advantages of living in a small city like Tartu is that everything is close by and you can walk everywhere. Most of the cafes are located in Kesklinn, close to the Raekoja Plats, but you can also find some interesting places in other areas. If there are no places available in a specific cafe, you can just walk around and find another!
I want to share with you my top 5 of Cafes in Tartu:

  1. Werner Café.

Over the past 120 years, Werner Café has developed a reputation as a meeting point for spiritual and artistic people alike. It’s an excellent location where you can potentially encounter famous musicians, artists, actors, or writers enjoying a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of cake. Additionally, I’ve found that Werner Café is a great place to start your morning with coffee, tea, and fresh cake!
