Most likely, you know about sTARTUp Day. You either feel an indescribable excitement when you hear the name or yet to discover a fantastic opportunity that you will cherish for life. Keep on reading to find out what sTARTUp Day has to offer and learn more about my experience at the most startup-minded festival, happening right in the heart of Tartu.

What is sTARTUp Day?

In case you don’t already know, sTARTUp Day is the largest three-day business festival in the Baltics, awaiting you with a marvelous stage program full of inspiration, hands-on seminars to skyrocket your professional skills, and the best connections of your life!

You name it, they got it! There are countless topical workshops, myriads of innovations to explore, epic business speed dating, iconic networking parties, spectacular side-events, awe-worthy pitches, immaculate vibes, and potential career opportunities floating around! Check out a recap of sTARTUp Day 2021 from an emotional rollercoaster of an aftermovie.

Make history

You would be more than welcome to experience the unique festival atmosphere and celebrate entrepreneurship firsthand too! The beauty of sTARTUp Day is that it unites students, startuppers, executives, investors, innovators, and visionaries!

In fact, one of the best ways to enjoy the festival is to help bring it to life! I first participated in sTARTUp Day in 2020, when I joined it as an enthusiastic volunteer, seeking to get a glimpse of the local startup scene. I was assigned to work in a seminar area and ensure that they were running smoothly and that both speakers and visitors could have fun during the sTARTUp Day!

I didn’t know what to expect when I started, but I was left speechless in the end! I got a high energy boost and motivation to look into the startup world. You better see it for yourself! I recommend you to join the sTARTUp Day team if you are looking to grow, meet like-minded people, and broaden your horizons. The next sTARTUp Day is fast approaching and will take place on 26-28 of January 2022. They are currently on the lookout for volunteers to organize and coordinate logistics, stage programs, side-events, parties, communications, and so much more. Falling in love with sTARTUp Day stronger

This year I attended sTARTUp Day for the second time and saw how Tartu transformed into a mecca of entrepreneurship once again. sTARTUp Day 2021 attracted over 3000 participants and 150+ world-class speakers to celebrate its 5th anniversary and was outstanding as usual!

My second time at sTARTUp Day was even more special because I was helping Startup Estonia hold empowering and vibrant events during the festival to bring the local startup community closer together. Startup Estonia is a governmentally supported umbrella organization aimed to supercharge the Estonian startup ecosystem. I am beyond fortunate that I’ve been able to join them as a marketing intern and fulfill my dream of exploring the local startup landscape from the inside out.

One of the highlights of the sTARTUp Day 2021 for me is definitely the moderation of a panel discussion on behalf of Startup Estonia as an online side-event of the festival. It was a candid, insightful talk focused on the stories of two entrepreneurs who successfully relocated their startups (and lives) to Estonia.

To sum it up, sTARTUp Day is a must-visit event you cannot afford to miss, especially if you live in Estonia! I loved every moment I spent at sTARTUp Day, learning all I could. Join the event as a volunteer, startup founder, or maybe even a speaker like our ISA alumni Anna, and make sure to enjoy the celebration to the fullest!

See you at sTARTUp Day 2022!
