TARTU, A PHOTOGRAPHER’S DREAM – JAY (SRI LANKA)

The moon has circled twice around the Earth already since I arrived in Tartu. Still, there is many a wonder hidden in all corners of Tartu, waiting to be revealed. From the Tropics to North America to Eastern Europe was quite a long voyage. During these years, I have come across many villages, towns, cities, and countries. However, if there is any truth to the claim of “small town charm”, Tartu is definitely a fitting candidate for it compared to any other place I have had the privilege of witnessing. The autumn has painted the entire town in golden hues. Mesmerizing views and promenades are sure to leave a deep impression in anyone’s mind who is blessed enough to bear witness to the glory Tartu has to offer. The winter temperatures are slowly creeping in, as if it is eager to arrive a little too early. Nevertheless, in mid October, trees are still full of leaves, the grass is still green as ever, and the air smells fresh every day. With the days growing shorter and shorter, I hope the last warmth of this autumn will be enough to kindle a glimmer of hope until the first rays of sunshine next spring and may the winter have mercy on this tropical soul.

And until then, here’s Tartu for you!
