As summer is approaching, I guess also the urge of traveling appears. For those who have already explored Estonia and are looking for a chance to get that work-and-travel experience, this blog post is for you.
We can gladly say that University of Tartu is one of those Univeristies that are very open and helpfull towards students in various of aspects. And supporting students to work and explore the world is not an exception. I am very keen when it comes to working in international environment, thus when I heard that there is an opportunity to receive a financial support for that, I did not take a second more to decide whether to use it or no. More precisely, with the help of University’s International Office I applied to Erasmus+traineeship grant, that allowed me and my coursemate/ boyfriend to go to Rome for 2 months and work in a photography service company. For more information about the Erasmus+grant, check here.
The internship was more than amazing, since everyday we were working from various places (as we were allowed to work remotely from office), and after work was done, we could scroll around and explore the magical city. This helped us to explore not only the touristic places of Rome, but also the way how people are working in Rome – cafes, museums, etc.
But don’t think it was only work and no play. Every weekend we visited all the touristic places of Rome, and we even managed to go out of city and vist the beach, which was super rewarding after a long week of work.
After a long and challenge full year you for sure deserve a chance to get out of the everyday environment and explore the world (with the chance to develop, of course). Don’t waste your time and use the opportunities that University is giving us. It will be amazing!
